It’s difficult to put into words why I’m doing this, I know it will be incredibly difficult when I get the email or call to ask me to photograph a child with a life-shortening condition. I wanted to do this because as a parent, a daughter, a sister and a wife how much my family mean to me and to have memories of them.
I photograph my family regularly on my phone and sometimes make the special effort to shoot them with my DSLR camera. I have photos of everyday things that my family get up to that I don’t want to forget but I also have beautiful photography that I print and hang on my walls. I want to offer that gift to other families.
4 creative friends and I wanted to take on some personal projects to use our skills and love for families to provide professional portraiture during a time of loss. My friends have causes close to their hearts. I would like to offer remembrance photography to help families experiencing pregnancy or early infant loss
I would like to capture the details of their babies that they will cherish for a lifetime. I understand talking about loss isn’t easy, but 1 in 4 pregnancies will result in miscarriage or stillbirth of their baby. I believe the gift of professional photography could help the healing process.
My friends and I have launched this website to find a bit more about us and about how to apply. Please feel free to share this with someone who might need us. Our service is free of charge but we all have our chosen charities if the family wish to donate something.
